2012 Youth of the Year Candidates from left to right: Fawlene Copeland, Kim Woodruff, Andy Perez
Each year the Boys & Girls Club of Venice selects one of our Club members as the Youth of the Year. This year, the event selecting the 2012 Youth of the Year will take place during a special ceremony on Friday, February 24, 2012 at Digital Domain in Venice. Last year’s event was attended by nearly 75 people including Club members, families, volunteers, donors and special guests.
In addition to recognizing the Youth of the Year, the Club annually recognizes individuals and/or companies that have gone above and beyond the call of duty to assist the Club in achieving our goals in fundraising, programming, and overall mission. Our 2012 Community Leader honorees are Armando Diaz, Richard Windebank, and David Katz.
